Community moderation: hide a post without deleting the conversation
A Community feed works when people feel safe posting walks, habits, and kudos. It stops working the moment something off-tone sits at the top of the screen and nobody can take it down without deleting history.
Managers can now hide a post or comment — and put it back — so moderation is a pause, not a shredder.
What hide does
Hide removes the post from the Community feed for everyone in the organisation, including whoever wrote it. The content is not deleted. Unhide restores it to the same place in the conversation.
- Filter the manager list by text, habit type, and date when you need to find something fast
- Switch to Hidden only to review everything already taken down
- Hide from the Manager → Community screen, or straight from the feed when you are a manager
Who can do it
Organisation managers (and admins) can moderate their own organisation's Community. Regular members keep liking, commenting, and posting — they simply do not see the hide control unless they have manager access.
Why this matters
Recognition features like Kudos only work if the feed stays trustworthy. Hide gives people managers a light tool for that trust: remove what should not stay public, keep the option to restore, and avoid turning every awkward post into a permanent wipe.
How to try it
- Open STEPathON as an organisation manager
- Go to Manager → Community
- Find the post or comment, then tap Hide
- Use Hidden only when you want to review or unhide later
You can also open any post in the member Community feed and hide it from there if you have manager access.
