Social impact challenges
Move people. Move a mission.
Launch a co-branded step challenge that puts your cause at the center of every walk. We run the platform. You bring the mission.
Gentle, story-driven step journeys for NGOs, charities, and social enterprises — designed to grow your audience, deepen engagement, and share revenue back to your work.
What is a social impact challenge
A step adventure shaped by your cause
We host, sell, and operate co-branded step challenges on the STEPathON platform. Participants sync their steps from Apple Health or Google Fit, unlock story chapters tied to your mission, and make meaningful choices at each milestone.
You supply the mission, the theme, and the brand. We build the challenge, run the checkout, manage the steps, and write the story.
The tone is always kind, cozy, and hopeful — never a punishing fitness push. Movement as care, not competition.
Your mission at every step
Story chapters woven around your cause — forests, oceans, wildlife, communities — whatever your work protects.
Fully co-branded
Your logo, colors, tagline, and visual identity across every screen participants see.
We handle payments
Stripe-powered checkout, tax handling, and a clean purchase flow — zero complexity for your team.
Distribution included
Listed in the public challenge catalog and promoted to the STEPathON community.
Who this is for
Any organization whose work aligns with gentle movement, wellbeing, nature, community, or human connection.
NGOs and associations
Raise awareness and deepen supporter engagement through a movement campaign that tells your story at every milestone.
Charities
Connect fundraising energy to physical activity. Every step is a statement of support for your cause — no donation forms, just walking.
Social enterprises
Give your community a branded step experience that reinforces your mission and keeps your audience active between campaigns.
Corporate CSR teams
Run an employee challenge that benefits a named cause. Employees walk for your mission; their steps build your brand and the partner's impact.
What partners get
Everything you need to run a meaningful, well-promoted step campaign — without building any technology.
A fully co-branded journey
Your logo, palette, and tagline applied across the app. Your story theme, companion character, and narrative arc — built around your cause from the first step to the last chapter. Participants see your brand on every screen, every milestone, every moment of celebration.
Platform distribution
Your challenge appears in the public STEPathON catalog alongside all other adventures. We co-promote through our channels where agreed — newsletter, social, in-app discovery. You promote to your own community. Both audiences see the same campaign.
Engagement reporting
Regular reports on enrollments, milestone completion rates, challenge completions, and social sharing activity. Data you can share with your board, your donors, and your community to show the impact of the campaign.
Revenue sharing
A defined share of paid enrollments is returned to your organization. Commercial and legal terms are set per partner before launch — nothing happens until the agreement is clear and signed.
How a partnership works
From your first message to a live, promoted challenge — a clear process at every stage.
Apply
Tell us about your organization, your mission, and the step challenge idea. We review fit, ask a few questions, and confirm whether to proceed.
Co-design
We draft the step structure, companion character, story milestones, and co-branding setup. You review, suggest, and approve before anything goes live.
Launch
Your challenge goes live in the catalog. We provide a joint launch kit. You promote to your audience. We promote to ours.
Report and settle
You receive regular enrollment and completion reports. Revenue is shared on the agreed schedule with full transparency.
The co-brand package
What "your theme" means in the app
Two layers combine to make the challenge feel entirely yours.
The first is visual identity — your logo, brand colors, and slogan appear as the app chrome for every participant in your challenge. The second is narrative content — your cause becomes the story world: the setting, the companion character, and the chapter beats at each milestone.
Partners provide the brand assets and a story brief. We do the rest.

Example concept
"Walk for the Pandas"
A 60-day step adventure co-branded with a wildlife conservation foundation. Participants follow a giant panda companion through bamboo forests, high mountain passes, and misty river valleys — one milestone at a time.
At every milestone, participants unlock a story chapter about the panda's journey. The narrative describes real habitat landmarks. Each unlock is a shareable moment.
Revenue from paid enrollments is shared with the partner foundation per the agreed commercial terms. The campaign runs in both EN and RO.
Companion: Giant Panda
Patient, gentle, curious — moves at their own pace, just like you.
Setting: Bamboo highlands
Misty forests, river crossings, and high mountain meadows.
Story arc: 6 chapters
Each milestone reveals the next chapter of the panda's migration — choices included.
Impact hook
"With this milestone, your steps contributed to [Partner]'s habitat protection work."
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about the program, the process, and the commercial model.
The challenge structure and platform remain ours. Story content co-authored with a partner is jointly approved before launch. Brand assets (logos, images) remain the property of the partner organization and are used only for the agreed campaign.
There is no upfront platform fee for eligible partners. Revenue is shared from paid enrollments — the split is defined in the partnership agreement before launch. We work out what is fair for each campaign.
Active participants always retain access to the story and progress they have accumulated. We do not remove challenges mid-stream. Campaign end dates are planned in advance and communicated clearly.
Yes. We support both EN and RO for all challenge content, including milestone chapters and the app interface. If your audience requires both, we author content in both languages as part of the co-design process.
No engineering or technical setup is required from partners. You provide brand assets and story direction. We configure and operate everything on the platform.
Revenue-share terms — including the split percentage, the gross or net basis, payout schedule, and treatment of refunds — are agreed individually per partnership and documented in a signed agreement before launch. Nothing is assumed or implied.

Send us a brief message about your organization, your mission, and the step challenge idea you have in mind. We will review it and come back with initial feedback — usually within a few days.
What to include in your first message
Mission fit matters
We align with challenges built around movement, mental wellbeing, nature, community, education, or health access. We review each partner proposal individually.
We do not partner with campaigns that contradict a supportive, non-punitive experience, or that make unverified health, medical, or impact claims.
