Introducing Social Impact Challenges: Move People. Move a Mission.

Introducing Social Impact Challenges: Move People. Move a Mission.

Today we are announcing something we have been quietly building for a while: Social Impact Challenges β€” a program that lets NGOs, charities, and social enterprises launch their own co-branded step challenge on STEPathON.

The idea is simple. You have a mission. We have a platform. Together, we can turn everyday walking into a meaningful experience that advances your cause, grows your audience, and shares revenue back to your work.

What Is a Social Impact Challenge?

A Social Impact Challenge is a fully co-branded step adventure hosted on STEPathON. Participants sync their steps from Apple Health or Google Fit, follow a companion character through a story world shaped by your mission, and unlock narrative chapters at each milestone.

The tone is kind and cozy β€” never a punishing fitness push. Think of it as a gentle journey where every step is an act of care: for the participant, and for the cause they are walking with.

Your brand is present on every screen β€” your logo, your colors, your tagline, your story. We build the challenge, handle the checkout, manage the step tracking, and write the narrative. You bring the mission and the audience.

Who Is This For?

  • NGOs and associations β€” raise awareness and deepen supporter engagement through a movement campaign that tells your story at every milestone.
  • Charities β€” connect fundraising energy to physical activity. Every step is a statement of support for your cause.
  • Social enterprises β€” give your community a branded step experience that reinforces your mission between campaigns.
  • Corporate CSR teams β€” run an employee challenge that benefits a named cause, building both your brand and your partner's impact.

What Partners Receive

We designed this program to be genuinely useful to mission-driven organizations β€” not just another tech vendor to manage.

  • A fully co-branded journey β€” your visual identity applied across the app; your cause as the story world, companion character, and milestone beats.
  • Platform distribution β€” your challenge listed in the public STEPathON catalog and co-promoted through our channels where agreed.
  • Engagement reporting β€” regular data on enrollments, milestone completions, and social sharing, ready to share with your board or donors.
  • Revenue sharing β€” a defined share of paid enrollments returned to your organization, on terms agreed and signed before launch.
  • Zero technical setup β€” no engineering required on your side. You provide brand assets and a story brief. We handle everything else.

An Example: "Walk for the Pandas"

To make this concrete: imagine a 60-day step adventure co-branded with a wildlife conservation foundation. Participants follow a giant panda companion through bamboo forests and mountain passes, one milestone at a time. At each unlock, a story chapter describes real habitat landmarks. Every milestone is a shareable moment tied to the partner's conservation work.

That is the kind of experience we want to build with you.

How to Get Started

The process is straightforward. Tell us about your organization, your mission, and the step challenge idea you have in mind. We review fit, ask a few questions, and move into co-design if there is a match. From first message to a live challenge, every step is collaborative and nothing goes live without your approval.

We align with challenges built around movement, mental wellbeing, nature, community, education, or health access. We review each proposal individually.
