Engagement surveys: a private pulse for people, anonymous trends for managers

Steps and streaks show whether people are moving. They do not show whether people feel heard, equipped, or ready to recommend their workplace. That gap is where engagement surveys sit.
STEPathON now ships a short engagement pulse for organisation members, with personal history for the individual and anonymous aggregates for the manager.
For people in your organisation
From Profile → Surveys, members open the engagement survey: nine agreement questions, optional free text, and a 0–10 recommendation score. Answers stay on their account. History and Chart keep a personal trend so they can keep a tab on how engagement changes over time.
Privacy copy is on the form before they start: managers never see individual responses or written answers.
For managers
On Manager → Surveys → Engagement, Professional and Enterprise managers see monthly average engagement, participation, and eNPS once at least five different people have responded in that UTC month. Theme averages appear under the same rule. Until then, averages and headcounts stay hidden so a small group cannot be reverse-engineered.
Until then, repeated submissions from one person do not unlock the chart.
Burnout stays personal on Starter and outside an organisation
Members who are not in an organisation, and members on Starter, still get the stress (burnout) survey. Engagement is for Professional and Enterprise organisations.
How to try it
- Members: open Profile → Surveys → Engagement survey
- Complete the pulse, then check History and Chart
- Managers on Professional or Enterprise: open Manager → Surveys → Engagement
